Following to the requirements of Technical regulations (ТR) is obligatory. In TR basic safety requirements for potentially dangerous equipment are given. There are also ТR which also establish requirements to efficiency of the equipment.
More concrete requirements are listed in standards. For every TR DSSU has published the lists of the standards voluntary application of which is perceived as acknowledgement of production conformity to TR requirements. But also the production can mismatch requirements of standards in some points (either as a whole, or in general be manufactured without presence of standards), and the main task of the authorised body is to perform a production conformity assesment according to TR requirements.
